Baofeng UV-17E 5W is a handheld radio with a maximum power of 5 watts. It is equipped with a DMTF keypad, dual LCD display, flashlight and FM radio. The radio is equipped with a 7.4V lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh and the radio is charged via a USB-C port.

A distinctive feature of the radio is Dual Watch, which means listening to two channels. This allows you to monitor two different frequencies - priority is given to the frequency on which the incoming call appears.

It has 99 channels, so your conversation will not be disturbed by other radio users. Under favorable conditions, the range is up to 10 km in open terrain. Communication is improved by an automatic mute system and a signal that ends the transmission. The radio meets the IP54 standard - it provides complete protection against the ingress of dust and against splashing and light rain falling from any direction.

The radio features a Kenwood K1-type plug, which allows you to connect headphones with microphone (included in the set), dedicated micro speakers or shooting ear protectors to the Baofeng.

The radio can be programmed from a keyboard or computer via a dedicated USB cable. In addition, the software comes with a number of features for easy grouping and identification. The VOX function allows the radio to start transmitting by voice, without having to press the PTT button.
