Baofeng UV-5R HTQ is a handheld Duobander  radio with a maximum power of 5 watts. It is equipped with a DMTF keypad, dual LCD display, a flashlight, and a FM radio. The radio is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh.

A characteristic feature of the radio is Dual Watch, which means listening to two channels. This allows you to monitor two different frequencies - priority is given to the frequency on which the incoming call appears.

The Baofeng UV-5R is equipped with a PTT - push-to-talk button. In addition, the radio features a Kenwood-type connector, which allows you to connect headphones with microphone (included), dedicated micro speakers or shooting ear protectors to the Baofeng.

The radio can be programmed from a keyboard or computer via a dedicated USB cable. In addition, the software comes with a number of features to facilitate grouping and identification. The VOX function allows you to start transmitting on the radio using your voice, without having to press the PTT button.

In the HTQ model, modulation and noise immunity have been improved compared to the previous version.
