CM.040 CM is a replica of the AK74S rifle. The new series of replicas, which includes models 040, 045 and 048, represents another qualitative leap among Chinese manufacturers.
The body, flash hider, gas pipe, lock cover and foldable stock are made of bent steel sheet. Other elements, such as the outer barrel, front sight base, gas elbow, rear sight base with gas tube bolt, bed holder, cleaning rod and sights, were also made of metal, specifically an alloy of zinc and aluminum (ZnAl).
The handguard and pistol grip are made of durable nylon, while the magazine is made of ABS plastic.
